REACH OUT MINISTRY OPPORTUNITIES
SPRING CLEANING TIME IS HERE: Starting immediately we will be collecting clothing, furniture, household items, linens, shoes, books, jewelry, coats, accessories, and anything that is usable and saleable for the Volunteers of America Thrift Store in Wilkes Barre. Please be sure the items are clean and in good condition.
Volunteers of America is one of the oldest and most comprehensive spiritually based, non-profit human service organizations in the country. Locally, Volunteers of America’s programs and services support expecting mothers and mothers and babies with limited incomes, individuals with disabilities, homeless young adults, adolescent girls who are victims of trauma and abuse, low income elderly, and others.
Bring your donation to church with you and we will store it until VOA picks up our donation on Thursday, March 25.

FOOD PANTRY: We will begin partnering with CEO to deliver food to those less fortunate than we are. CEO serves 8,599 people a week in NEPA! The need is great. We can help. We donate, they deliver!
The Weinberg Food Bank distributes the food to other food pantries, homeless shelters, soup kitchens, group homes for the disabled, daycare centers, children’s camps and senior citizen programs. It also sponsors summer and after school meals for low income children in their Kids Cafe.
All types of non perishable foods in non glass containers are needed as well as paper products and soaps. There will also be envelopes available for monetary donations for those of you who do not like to grocery shop, but would like to be part of the solution. Art or Lorraine Berton will take your envelope and shop for you.

CEO will pick up our donations once a month.

If you are able to help with any of the above items, please place them in the box located in the rear of the sanctuary.

SODA TABS: We are still collecting soda tabs for the Ronald McDonald House in Scranton and the Shriner's Hospital in Philadelphia. These tabs may also be brought to the church and placed in a container in the rear of the sanctuary.

In Matthew 25:37-40 Jesus tells us:
"Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?'
The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'
